Sports Betting Rules FAQ
When is a sports bet accepted by Smart Bet?
Adding a selection to a bet slip or pressing the confirmation button does not, by itself, prove acceptance. Look for a system confirmation, a bet ID and a recorded status in your account history through Smart Bet login. The current Terms and Conditions determine when a bet becomes valid.
What happens if odds change before I confirm a bet?
Odds displayed before acceptance may change. Review the updated price and any odds-change settings before confirming; do not assume the original price remains available. Whether you must explicitly accept a change depends on the applicable platform rules. If the confirmed odds differ from what you expected, retain the bet ID and request a review.
Are live bets confirmed immediately?
Not necessarily. Where live betting is available, acceptance may involve a delay while the system checks the current market and price. A market may also be suspended during significant action. A pending request is not a confirmed bet. Check the recorded status, and do not assume acceptance simply because your screen appeared to submit the selection.
What is a void bet?
A void bet is treated as neither a win nor a loss. Under common void bet rules, the cash stake is returned; in an accumulator, a void selection may instead count at odds of 1.00. Smart Bet’s applicable rules determine the treatment. Promotional stakes may have separate conditions; check those associated with any Smart Bet bonus code.
What happens if a football match is postponed?
A postponement does not automatically mean that every bet is refunded. Settlement depends on the applicable event and market rules, including whether the match is rescheduled within any specified period. Check the rules attached to the event listed under Smart Bet football. Do not assume a particular deadline unless the current official rules state it.
Do extra time and penalties count in football betting?
Standard full-time football markets generally cover 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalty shootouts. Markets such as “to qualify” may use a different definition. Always read the individual market description before placing a bet: the meaning of “full time,” and whether extra time or penalties count, must come from the applicable football betting rules.
How can I dispute a settled bet?
First, compare the recorded settlement with the relevant market rules and the official result used for settlement. Then contact support through Contact Us, providing the bet ID, date, sport, event, market, stake, accepted odds and any screenshots. Explain the discrepancy clearly and retain the correspondence. An incorrect settlement may be corrected following review under the applicable rules.
